Die Iovis, NON. OCT. MMX (October 7, 2010)
Posted in Assignments, Latin II Tests, Latin III Quizzes, Latin IV/V Tests on October 7th, 2010 by Jeffrey SatrianoLatin II took the Stage 16 test today.
Latin II Advanced reviewed various grammar points from dies festus part 2, e.g. verb tenses and noun cases. Then, we discussed the declension of the demonstrative adjectives hic, haec, hoc and ille, illa, illud. We practiced identifying the case, number, and gender of these adjectives in the stories we’ve read and also practiced changing from hic to ille and vice versa. Finally, we finished up by practicing with new sentences in which students had to choose the correct form of the adjective to go with the noun given. There is a vocabulary quiz tomorrow.
Latin III read part 1 of the Masada story on pp. 172-173. It is a rather long and difficult story, so it took the entire period. There is no homework except to study for tomorrow’s vocabulary quiz.
Latin IV/V took the Stage 42 test.
AP Vergil finished up the packet of workbook exercises. Students will receive two more workbook lessons tomorrow. We have two more workbook lessons to finish and a take-home test before we get back to reading.
