Posted in Assignments on March 3rd, 2011 by Jeffrey SatrianoLatin II today completed the Word Study exercises. Then, we read epistula Cephali on p. 50 and discussed Cephalus’ motives behind sending it as well as how true his statements in the letter were. We also practiced identifying and translating participles using the sentences in the About the Language section as well as from the story. The only homework is to complete the cultural background reading that was given yesterday and to study for tomorrow’s vocab quiz.
Latin II Advanced today discussed the ablative of means, ablative of time when, and the accusative extent of time. We completed several sample sentences as a class as part of today’s notes, and then I used the cards and called on students to complete exercises 28.3 and 28.4. Tonight’s homework is to complete 28.2 and study for tomorrow’s vocab quiz.
Latin III practiced the indirect statement today. Students worked on several sentences in class, which we then went over, and students should complete the remaining sentences for homework. There is a vocab quiz tomorrow.
Latin IV/V read through last night’s assigned lines (101). Students should translate through line 127 for MONDAY. There is a vocab quiz tomorrow.
AP Vergil read through line 400. Students should translate through line 449 for MONDAY.
